Understanding PSAT/ NMSQT Competition

The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is a standardized assessment that serves as a practice test for the SAT and an opportunity for students to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. For the high school juniors, the PSAT/NMSQT evaluates skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, helping students identify areas for improvement before taking the SAT. Additionally, strong performance on the PSAT/NMSQT can lead to scholarship opportunities and recognition, setting the stage for future academic success.

Every year since our inception, students of Axios Tutoring have consistently qualified for NMSQT.

Our proven approach to personalized tutoring emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the material. With a focus on individual learning styles, we tailor our programs to meet the unique needs of every student, equipping them with the skills and confidence required to excel in rigorous academic settings.

Join us in this tradition of success, where our students not only reach their goals but also surpass them.

My daughter found out yesterday that she is one of six semifinalists in our high school for national merit scholarships! She took an Axios class last fall to prepare because she seemed within reach based on her sophomore year PSATs, and we were hoping she might be able to pull her score up a hundred or so points. Also, since she only studied for the ACT, we thought the PSAT prep class could be a good idea. I’m so glad she took the class! She’s happy to be able to add national merit semifinalist to her college applications and is busy filling out the scholarship application now.

Thanks again!
