Led by our highly educated and experienced instructors, classes focus on building skills and techniques. Sessions are dynamic and interactive, receiving strong reviews and delivering positive results. Every student is encouraged to participate and contribute to the discussion. Actual conditions full length practice tests are part of this preparation, along with the option to watch live recorded sessions to review the class and audit future SAT class sessions.
For students targeting SAT score of 1400+ , summer is the ideal time to prepare. Axios’s SAT Honors program will give you the right kind of preparation and rigor to score high. Enrollment is selective and is based on our intake diagnostic test. Students should be ready to put in lot of effort and take additional practice tests. The group will meet twice a week during summer break and then once a week starting in the middle of August. Students are recommended to take the October/ November SAT and October PSAT/NMSQT.

COLLEGE APPLICATION CAMP
College Application Camp is a week-long comprehensive workshop where Rising Seniors will work through every aspect of their college application process. Axios has partnered with Bridget Hotrum to expertly guide this workshop. The workshop will include: establishing application plan, all different Apps, Naviance, lockers, resume, personal statements, essay & interview prep etc. There will be a parent seminar at the end to answer any questions.
COLLEGE ESSAY CAMP
A good college essay is more than just a well-written story. It needs to honestly reflect who you are as an applicant. Before you begin crafting your essay, you need to decide what you want to say and to communicate it in a clear and compelling way. Let our highly experienced staff collaborate with you, guiding you to create essays that accurately represent you and that tell your story in your own unique voice.
FOUNDATIONAL REVIEW CAMPS
Math Foundational review:
This program is designed for high school students who want to master math on the college entrance exams. It is taught by the same teachers who teach SAT or ACT test prep. Course is designed to bolster underlying math skills and concepts as needed for the new SAT/ACT Math. This is a ramp up course, serves as a precursor to a formal test preparation. Once any skills gaps are filled and concepts refreshed, students will be better able to benefit from a test preparation program.
English Foundational review:
This program is designed for students who want to strengthen their Reading and Grammar skills for the SAT/ACT before they begin formal test preparation. Taught by our test prep tutors, these sessions emphasize grammar review and reading comprehension for the different styles of passages commonly found on these tests. Upon completion of these sessions, students are equipped to launch into the more rigorous test-prep classes.
FALL PREVIEW CAMPS
MATH CAMPS – Geometry/ Algebra/ Pre-Calculus/Trig:
Similar course students are paired up to work together, thereby receiving individualized attention from tutors. The objective of the camp is to introduce them to the concepts they will be learning in their upcoming Fall classes. Sessions are designed to teach any content gaps, along with prerequisites needed for their course. Students leave with confidence and study skills needed for that class to excel.
AP & Hon preview for Chemistry/ PHYSICS/ Biology/ History
Are you taking Honors/AP level course(s) next school year? Use the summer to get a head start. Taught by our highly qualified tutors, in a private 1:1 setting, these courses are perfect for creating a strong foundation for success in the upcoming school year. Subjects available:

Python is a powerful, one of the most used programming language with applications in Web Development, Data Science and Machine Learning. For beginners it’s an easy to learn language, which reads like English with applications that reaches far and wide. This thought provoking writing workshop is for students looking to strengthen their writing skills, while engaging in some meaningful discussion. Modeled after the popular radio show of 1950s by the same name, students develop writing skills while exploring core values that guide student’s daily lives. Ideal for students Gr 6-12

Studying is a skill that can be learned and must be practiced. Our program begins with Mindprint cognitive assessment to determine how your child learns, processes information. We look at their study habits to identify needed changes and then introduce proven techniques to improve note-taking, organization and short –term/long- term memory to develop habits that lead to strong, consistent results.
